Special Note: Chai Pakoda Ride Connection

Since the Chai Pakoda Ride reporting time is 6 AM at Vyttila, Kochi, we've decided to travel a day earlier — on Saturday — and explore the beautiful beaches along the way to Fort Kochi.

This time, we'll skip the usual route and ride through the scenic Alappuzha coastal road via Arthunkal, cross Chellanam, and reach Fort Kochi.

We'll load the bikes onto the jankar and head to Vypin to enjoy a stunning sunset.

After spending a beautiful evening, we'll head back to our rooms and wake up early to join the much-awaited Chai Pakoda Ride on the morning of the 19th!

General Guidelines

  1. Both rider and pillion must wear certified helmets at all times.
  2. Wear proper ATGATT gear (All The Gear, All The Time) - jacket, gloves, pants, boots—even rain gear for unexpected weather. Applicable for both rider and pillion.
  3. Check your bike thoroughly: brakes, tires, lights, fluids, throttle, etc., well before the ride
  4. Fuel up before the ride starts—confirm a full tank
  5. Carry the original and a photocopy of your driving licence and all vehicle documents.
  6. Follow all traffic rules and regulations on the road.
  7. A ride lead and a sweep will be coordinating and controlling the ride.
  8. Ride in a staggered formation (left third, right third, etc.) for visibility and space
  9. Maintain safe following distances: ~1 second to staggered rider, 2 seconds to directly in front—extend further in poor conditions
  10. Switch to single-file on curves, poor visibility, heavy traffic, or highway entry/exit
